Scooby Doo with closed captioning
I’ve been preparing for James’ return now for the past week: tanning, buying sexy underwear, working out like crazy, and I’ve also been considering whitening my teeth. I’m feeling so Barbie-like, but I don’t care. It’s been four months, and I want his jaw to drop as soon as he steps off the plane.
My weight lifting class has ended now, and I’m worried that come tomorrow morning when my alarm goes off, I’m going to rollover, hit snooze, and forget all about the gym. I’d like to continue working out, if not weight lifting at least cardio. Last week was my first attempt at using the cardio equipment at the school’s gym. I timidly walked around the equipment for awhile and finally decided to step outside my comfort zone and have a seat on some bicycle-looking contraption with a television attached to one end. I mashed some buttons on the front and began pedaling with surprising ease. After awhile I realized that the machine wasn’t even on. I tried again. Finally some lights starting blinking and the resistance kicked in.
I ended up cycling for 6.65 miles and burning 550 calories. Not bad! It was definitely more exciting than lifting weights, and I got to watch Scooby Doo with closed captioning.
It was one of those episodes that guest-starred the Harlem Globetrotters. It’s funny. Watching Scooby Doo with closed captioning is a completely different experience. Everything they say seems overtly sexual.
